This museum is located at Universidad Francisco Marroquín. It has a very import colection of pre-columbian pieces. It also has a small collection of art from the colonial period. This museum is one of the best kept in the country. It is privately owned and administered. It includes monoliths, not as impressive as the ones found in Museo de Arqueología, but it's ceramic collection has no match, at least in Guatemala city. It is open Monday thru Friday during the day and on the morning on Saturdays. This museum closes on Sundays.
