Chichicastenango or just Chichi, is located in the Departamento of Quiche. It has a population of almost 100,000. It is most famous for the market on Thursdays and Sundays. If you go there any other day you will miss all the beauty of it, so plan to there those days and those days only. Besides the attraction of it's market, it is very strong religious point for Mayan culture, and here Catholic and Mayan religion blend in a very unique way.
