Iximche ruins near Tecpán are a good way to see Mayan ruins without getting too far, or in the way to Chichicastenango or Panajachel (Lake Atitlán). Here you can see various pyramids, a ball game park, and you can learn about Mayan religion, as there is an altar at the end of the ruins. Is a great way to spend a day, and there are from good to great restaurants nearby. Maybe the most famous is Katok, usually with live Marimba music, Paulinos and .
